Petrosains Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, that manages the visit operations of the world renowned PETRONAS Twin Towers and the interactive science centre, Petrosains, The Discovery Centre. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, these two distinctive institutions play a significant role in providing the world with a unique view of the progress of the nation through the vantage point of tourism and informal learning. Job Vacancies


  Cashier

Job Purpose:

Implement overall Finance Cashiering activities timely, accurately and effectively with a high standard of Quality in compliance with the Company Accounting policies, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

  • Prepare and implement cash float/counting room activities (distribution and return) for Ticketing and Gift shops operations.
  • Verify cash and credit card sales collection tally with daily sales report.
  • Ensure daily sales batches are accurate and complete for SAP data entry.
  • Prepare and perform bank-in of sales collection into the bank by liaising with appointed security company on CIT (cash in transit) collection
  • Liaise with appointed security company on denomination changes and requirements.
  • Perform weekly cash float balancing to ensure the cash balance is in order and investigate money discrepancies (if any).

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum SPM with 3 years working experience as cashier.
  • Familiar with computer application e.g Microsoft, accounting software/application.

  Sales Assistant

Job Purpose:

Provide assistance to the customers and visitors to the Gift Shop and maintain the merchandise level and arrangement on the sales floor effectively and efficiently with the objective of generating revenue for the Gift Shop.

Requirements:

  • SPM holder
  • Relevant experience from retail environment/service industry is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills, both in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Knowledge in other languages will be an added advantage
  • Willing to work on roster basis including on weekends and public holidays

  Program Assistant

Job Purpose:

To execute of departmental administration tasks, procurement and purchasing, daily operations, and implementation of activities and programs, and training for staff, to ensure a smooth, efficient and effective management of the department.

Requirements:

  • Provide assistant in daily science center operational matters through efficient deployment of staff such as stationing, rostering, scheduling etc. to ensure smooth daily science center operation that meets expectation from internal and external customer.
  • Provide departmental administration assistance through efficient monitoring, documenting and filing of items such as budget, KPI, SOP, database, to ensure all relevant information and document are organized and easily accessible for management and reporting purposes.
  • Execute in procurement and purchasing matters through efficient and effective implementation of systems such as SAP, eProcurement etc. to ensure all purchasing and procurement process are accurate, timely and follow the company’s guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide assistance and support in implementation of special program by providing support in conducting learning activities that are based on creative approaches to ensure all the activities provide the best learning experience for the visitors.
  • Provide assistance and support Science Communication training programs that inculcate creativity, nurture confidence and internal motivation to ensure staff are well trained and upskilled in science communication.
  • Analyze feedbacks of programs and operations through systematic utilization of research processing packages to ensure objectives of programs fulfilled and impact of programs identified.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma in any relevant field; preferably in science background
  • Good proficiency in the English Language (written and verbal)
  • Able to operate common computer applications

  Sales Assistant

Job Purpose:

  Visitor Management Coordinator

Responsibilities:

To provide assistance and facilities to visitors by engaging them with energizing, entertaining, friendly, creative and innovative world class services while ensuring the safety and comfort at all times.

Requirements:

  • Diploma Tourism or Hospitality Industry.
  • Good command of both Bahasa Malaysia & English. Ability to converse in other languages is an advantage.
  • Genuine passion for people.
