The Petrosains
ACTology regional level competition kicked-off
on 6 May 2008 with the Central-Southern and Sarawak
regions competitions taking place simultaneously.
The schools from the Central-Southern Region put
up stellar performances and bedazzled the judges
with their talent and creativity in Melaka.
The excitement started a day before the competition
for five schools – SM Sains Kuala Selangor (Selangor),
Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah (Putrajaya), MRSM Gemencheh
(Negeri Sembilan), SMK Convent Muar (Johor) and
SMK Tinggi St. David (Melaka) – when they met
for the first time at Panggung Seri in Taman Budaya
Melaka for their briefing and rehearsals. Later
that evening, they returned to their hotel where
the students had a good time making friends amongst
themselves before putting in a good night’s rest
prior to the big day. While the air was thick
with tension and anticipation ahead of the performances,
the students were very happy and excited to be
part of Petrosains ACTology.

The five teams wowed the audience and judges with
the variety of props and creative ideas while
clearly portraying their interpretation of the
Science of Energy.
